An overseas customer recently visited the Gruvmaster factory to take a closer look at the AG-8Z Automatic Roll Grooving Machine. During the visit, the customer inspected the machine structure, operating controls, hydraulic system, and roller setup, and also discussed practical pipe grooving applications with our team.
Last week, we were pleased to welcome an overseas customer to the Gruvmaster factory for an on-site visit and a closer look at our roll grooving equipment.
During the visit, the customer focused on the AG-8Z Automatic Roll Grooving Machine. Compared with reviewing photos, videos, or specifications online, seeing the machine in person provides a much clearer understanding of its structure, operation, and actual working condition.
With our team on site, the customer took a close look at the AG-8Z’s machine structure, hydraulic system, roller setup, and operating controls, and also tried some of the machine functions. We also discussed practical grooving requirements and different application conditions.
A Closer Look at the AG-8Z in Operation
The AG-8Z is an automatic hydraulic roll grooving machine developed for steel pipe grooving and is designed for continuous, high-intensity operation.
Its standard working range is 2"–12", and with optional roller sets, the capacity can be extended up to 16", covering a wider range of pipe sizes.
For operation, the AG-8Z supports wireless remote control, physical push-button control, and foot pedal operation, allowing the operator to choose the most convenient control method for different working conditions.
The control panel allows real-time pressure monitoring, while the groove-depth adjustment screw includes a graduated scale, making groove depth setting more visual and easier to repeat.
The AG-8Z also features the Gruv-X hydraulic system with a multi-seal design for reliable long-hour operation. Its compact, balanced structure combines heavy-duty performance with easier handling. A retractable handle and wheels are standard, making the machine easier to move around the workshop or jobsite.
Face-to-Face Communication Makes Machine Selection Easier
For roll grooving equipment, many details are much easier to understand when the machine can be inspected and operated in person.
From the overall machine structure and control methods to actual requirements for different pipe sizes and wall thicknesses, face-to-face discussion helps customers evaluate whether a machine is suitable for their applications more directly.
At the same time, factory visits allow our team to better understand customers’ actual working conditions and provide more targeted suggestions based on their pipe processing needs.
